Local fall colors

We don't get much red here, which is a bummer. I feel like I struggle with landscapes and autumn colors, I can't seem to translate what I see to the camera. I hiked all over the woods yesterday for some of these!

I stumbled upon this, and thought it was really cool. Obviously time has changed things... this apparently used to be a passable road, but where I was standing was just muddy ruts. I didn't know how to process it, leaving the color in felt too "cheery" for what it is.

Nice! I'm outdoors now, and I can't see that "anything" has even started to turn yet. Bummer!

Not bad, rather rustic, romantic landscapes (in the 1830's meaning of romantic). I really enjoyed the speed limit sign all overgrown! Must be an old bridge nearby. yeah...not a lot of red here either during fall. Makes me wanna move to Vermont (for about 3 weeks!). I liked #7 too. Are those juniper berries? I have no idea.

Thank you! Yes Derrell there was an old bridge nearby, or the remains of one. Nothing I felt too safe getting too close to haha

Nice. I particularly liked #3. If #6 had been on this side of the Atlantic, I would also have said Juniper.
