Local Rally - A family event

Auto racing is not really popular here due to exposure, funding and public interest, so to have a local rally championship is quite something. A lot of the co-drivers are female, probably the drivers' spouses. It's nice to see them participating as a family... some looked like they are picnicking!

Well, no one went into the closed course in the mountains, and I don't have decent telephoto for sports. I could have went in before the event started, but I didn't want to be trapped at one spot with venomous snakes in the cold rain for two hours at one go. Most of the shots were taken at the pits, which I found to be much more interesting.

Nice shots. I too would like to know where these photos were taken. It looks like a really beautiful area.
