Let me know your thoughts. Only been using a SLR for 6 months or so.

Taken on a kit lens Nikon D5100

Like the picture and i know canary wharf well

Is this HDR or Tone Mapped?

Simon

That would make a nice shot taken at night with some of the office lights on as well as that street lamp.

This shot was a single exposure tone map, it was more of a "snap shot" as I wandered through. It was after I got home I thought it would be good to tweak.

A night shot would have been great, but unfortunately I was not there after dark. Might head back down and take a multi-exposure night shot.

I like it too. Love the composition. very nice for a "snap shot as you wander through". Only thing that I see that needs altering, is the sign post bottom right might need to be taken out. Apart from that I like it a lot!

I like the composition with the building cutting through the left hand side of the picture but i hate HDR

Horses for courses and all that. I could post the raw version in the relevant part of this forum if you prefer. ;-) but thanks for the comments re composition.

Its a good shot have you tried converting to b+w

Thanks, I did convert the version above to B&W and also the raw file.....didn't process the standard shot much, but happy if anyone wants to make adjustments.....

First b+w one really works for me much better than the tone mapping
