It seems like a lot of noise in the photo. But with ISO of 320, that shouldn't be an issue. Did you add noise to the image? I don't think noise is always an issue, but here it makes the bee seem oof, which detracts from it being the center of attention in my opinion.

Very noisy! The subject is so tiny... that it isn't really a subject. Almost not recognizable as a bee.... other than that, the flowers are nice, color is good.

What was your intention here? What did you do post? Is the noise / grain intentional?

I think that's a side effect of the way I processed it. Sharpening too much maybe?

here's the original.

This brings up a question. In lightroom I exported to jpeg and set it to Sharpen for Screen. This was the first time I used that setting. Thoughts?

Ok.. massive sharpening artifacts.. wow! lol!

i definately like the 2nd better.........very nice
not sure of the intent, but why didyou sharpen it?

I was trying to extract some of the finer details. And then I sharpened when I exported on top of it all. Bad move. I learned something new today.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks everyone.

That is what counts! :)

Did the original image get replaced? If not, I am curious about the "noise" (which I guess is actually sharpening artifacts?). What were you guys looking at that you read as noise?
