I like the shot. I like the grass at the bottom. It could use some post though, to draw attention to the subjects. I'd add a vignette.

Not a fan of vignette. Maybe I'll change the crop a bit. Thanks for the comments though.

Cute! I think it would benefit from a crop off the top just below the AC unit eliminating all the light siding. That light siding and square of the ac unit really draws the eye away from the cutie pies!

I find this confusing, both visually and conceptually.

Visually: the background is extremely busy, so much that the kids are not well separated from it. Also, I cannot tell if the kids are holding hands or not. It looks sort of as if they are, but I think they are not, the hands are just visually overlapped.

Conceptually: is this a photograph of trick-or-treaters being very small in a large context? The title suggests this. Then I think they are too large in the frame, and I am not feeling any particular vastness in the frame for them to be lost in. On the other hand, if this is a picture of some cute trick-or-treaters approaching a house, then the kids are too small in the frame. Basically, this is in a conceptual no-mans-land between a picture of kids, and a picture of kids in a larger context. Maybe this a picture about the banality of suburbia? The house with the A/C unit and so on does completely fill the frame. If that's it, then I am not feeling those notes hit hard enough to really sell it for me.

It looks, frankly, like a not very interesting snapshot of my kids walking up to the neighbor's house. There's some potential for ideas in a photograph like this, but I don't think this one hits it.
