Long exposure - night landscapes

It's been a while since I have went out at night and for sunset and long exposures. I finally got to meet up with a new friend and he taught me a little about light painting as well. Here are a couple from last night.

3) Light painting. It's a LONG way from perfect, as I need a better light and work on my focusing at night with my ultrawide lens.

Thats too bad. I am not able to see the first one anymore. Flickr says it is no longer available. I was looking forward to a beautiful OK scene.

New to this site and I just happen to take a night/long exposure last night. Very new to photography. Just got my first SLR in March. I hope this thread is for posting night landscapes. If it's not sorry

I like both 1 and 2. The colors are real nice in 1, and digging the trail in 2.

Ron I really like the first photo as well but I like the 2nd with the plane trail as well. Nice job.

Thanks JacaRanda. #2 was just a luck thing. There were about 3-5 planes that went over us while we were out there but I wasn't thinking that one would leave a trail.

Do you mind if I ask your setting? Mine was 30 sec. iso 100 and auto aperture f5. Like I said I just got my camera in March and still soaking in so much info.

1) ISO 200, 15mm, f/8.0, 25 sec.
2) ISO 100, 15mm, f/3.5, 60 sec.
3) ISO 100, 15mm, f/7.1, 60 sec.

Canon T3i with a sigma 15-30mm f/3.5-4.5, manual with a wireless trigger.
