They're both nice. I really like the second one. The stuff at the top of the image seems a (little bit) distracting, but it seems necessary at the same time, as it gives a nice sense of direction for the river. Yes, I do like the second one a lot.

Your choice of composition says nothing about what you are trying to photograph other than blurred water. Try to compose a scene where the moving water adds the overall scene. You are out having fun with your camera and your willingness to ask opinions shows you care about the images you make.

I agree... Kinda.

Regarding composition, you did a great job with foreground in both images. The blur of the water looks pretty good as well, though # 2 looks a little creamier. You do, however, need some background to help with a sense of depth. I have no idea what the background would be in #1, but it looks like you have a perfect background for #2, but you cut it off. IMHO, for landscapes to work, you generally need a foreground, middle ground (usually the "subject") and a background, That makes the composition make sense to the human eye. In #2, it looks like there is a little building or stucture of some kind in the background. That would have been a perfect element for the eye to land on, after the creamie water lead the eye there.
