I was going to rent mine and then be cremated after ceremony. Why waste a casket. My sis did it for her husband. But, now I can buy one. Wonder if the funeral home would even let you use it. Any Funeral Directors on here?

You could still cremate yourself but buy the casket as a family heirloom. Imagine a legacy of six generations using the same casket!

I bought my mother-in-law one for Christmas last year, 2011. This year, 2012 she was upset because I bought her nothing. I told her she didn't use last years present. POW. I can almost see out of my left eye. She throws a mean right fist.
