Look what I found!

Out in the garage, I found a camera bag. Surprised, I opened it up only to find an old Canon AE-1 with the lens pictured and also a 50-200mm telephoto lens (just a BIT bigger). Here's the two pictures I took of it in my beloved lightbox, which I have been using extensively lately:

hahaha... wow, an AE1 program! That's so slick. I had a newer version of that camera... (I think they had dropped the word "program" and rounded the corners on it a hair.) It even has a nifty fifty on it!

Indeed I do. The lowest f-stop I've ever used is 2.8, I'm excited to get down to 1.8. I've just never used a 35mm, so I'm sure there'll be a learning curve. I also want to try that trick where you use a 50mm backwards on a telephoto for extreme closeups (using that, you can get quite a bit closer than my Panasonic Lumix MDC-FZ28). My step dad also has a wide variety of lenses he uses, being as he is a professional photographer and all, so I'll definitely have plenty to mess around with now.

haha! same thing happened to me =D

a few days ago, i walk in my room and see this square case, and my mom comes in and tells me its "some old camera she found" lol.
i open it, and its the Canon AE-1!
