Last week while I was deer hunting it was really foggy out (less than 20 yards visibility) so I came in for lunch and saw this guy fly up into a nearby tree. He hung around for quite a while, moving from one tree to another all up close preening and fluffing his feathers, so I got out the camera gear and worked on some pictures of a Great Gray Owl, taken in the Umatilla National Forest of South Eastern Washington at 4500 feet. Sometimes it was a bit too close to get it all in the frame with the 400.

Thats nice you had that problem hahaha. As long as it is not a bear or a mountain lion :)

Nice! #2 for me too, not often you get a portrait shoot with an owl.
