I've always wanted a wide angle lens and wondered if any of you have an opinion...

I was thinking about the Rokinon 24mm 1.4 or the Zeiss 24mm 2.0... Anyone have any experience with either? Zeiss is always expensive and wondered if it was actually worth the price...

I have a couple of Carl Zeiss lenses and yes they are worth it. I am not sure I would go with the Rokinon, for one it's manual focus. I used the Konica Minolta 17-35mm D lens and upgraded to the G version a few months ago. The 17-35mm can be had fairly cheap. I think KEH has one and it's $325.00 for EX+. The D version does flare more than the G version but unless you are shooting dead at the sun it's not to bad.
I also had a Sigma 14mm at one point and the only draw back was I couldn't use filters with it.
The Sony 28mm is very cheap and other than being all plastic it does a very nice job as well.

Sigma makes a 30mm f1.4 thats going for good prices right now. Around $300. Personally I went for the sigma 10-20 f3.5.
