Looking for feedback on some photos...

Thanks y'all for even considering giving me feedback!
All these camera shots are taken with a Nikon D3300 or Canon EOS 20D.
I've been playing around with photography for a while, but I never ventured passed the basics. In fact, I don't think I know all the basics. So any help would be wonderful. I just started using iPiccy for free editing, but before I used Pixlr Express (none of my shots that I am displaying right now were edited with Pixlr).

I like the first shot (except for the mailbox).
The circular flaring mirrors the headlight, and it has a 70's feel to it.
Question: did you actually see all of that when you took the shot or did you see all this after the fact ?

#2 - I think you could have gotten closer to get rid of surrounding stuff that distracts.
Same for #3, or maybe a different viewpoint to the left side to get rid of the chair.

Yea, I didn't even register the mailbox until you said it. I guess my mind deleted it lol. But The story behind that shot was that I was sitting at the table for Thanksgiving and the sun was setting. I saw my car out the window and I begged to go get a shot. This wasn't the initial angle I wanted, but once I saw this angle I didn't want another. I specifically caught the sun there, but didn't expect the reflection circles. The soft editing took a while for me to realize as well. I just knew that I would like the shot.

2: Yea, that one was at a car show in May. I had forgotten about this photo, but yea if I could delete all the background distraction that'd be nice.

3. Totally agree about the chair. I cropped it a little but was too afraid to crop too much. It does take away from the center focus.

I really like the first and last shots. I like the processing. To me the chair is a bit of context and works OK, but we're all different! How did the cat get wet? Adds something unexpected.

Always be aware of your surroundings. Unwanted people, street signs, houses, trash, light poles, (continues to list every known object in the universe) can really wreck a photo. Take the time to look at every part of the scene through your viewfinder, and see if there might be a better angle to take the photo from. Lots of folks have a tendency to focus on the subject, and become blind to everything else in the frame.
