Looking for help identifying the artist of this antique photograph

I found this antique photo at a sale recently but cannot find any information on it. It is 7 7/8” x 9 7/8” (20cm x 25cm). The bottom is signed but illegible. The paper is not phosphorescent under black light. Any help is much appreciated!
