Looking for specific photography book

Should have bought it when i had the chance. The author took photos of gas stations or interesting building and then photoshopped the backgrounds out and relaced it with a different background this isolated the building which left it looking very surreal. Im pretty it came out over the last ten years. If you are familiar with this please let me know it is driving me a little crazy. Thanks, joe
