Photos NOT OK to edit
What, if any, is the advantage of no compression over lossless compression...or to restate, why would anyone use "no compression" with a RAW file?

Decompressing takes time.... also, shot in the dark, perhaps not all RAW interpreters support the compression algorithm?

Processing power is it. Not sure if there is a real world performance hit though.

I use no compression with RAW because my compression isn't lossless despite what Nikon's marketing material says. But then my camera also has a very old format and apparently modern ones DO offer loss-less compression.

The other issue is uncertainty. My camera says there's 435 photos left on the frame then there's 435 photos left. If compression is in place than there would be approximately 435 photos left +/-. I'm not sure again if this would have any real world effect either.
