LR3 Preview problem

Hello.

When I connect my 50D to my computer, LR will only show me a thumbnail of the photos for me to decide if I want to import it or not. When I used to plug the SD card directly into the computer (when I used my T1i) it would show me a picture that filled the screen to decide from.

Is this because I'm not connecting the CF card directly (my computer won't fit that)? Is there a way to preview a bigger picture by directly connecting the camera to the laptop?

Thanks.

I'm not sure why it would be different. Maybe it has to do with speed. Connecting to the camera, you are limited to the speed of USB 2.0, but if you're putting the card into a built-in card reader, it may have faster access to the photos on the card.

Why not just import them all, then run though them in LR and delete the ones you don't want?

Yea, I think that's the best option. I just liked how I used to do it... hmph. THanks.

No idea if this is what you mean, but there are buttons located at the bottom of the import window to change between the grid and loupe views.

Also there is a slider to change thumbnail size if i'm not mistaken.
