Did you remove the background?

I made it bw because of the colors that he had on his shirt and on his hat .
As background it the original ,all I did is cleaned it

Cute kid, nicely sharp but...
if you start with a picture where the bright things that draw the viewers' eyes are the wrong things and the things that you want the people to look at are really dull and flat, the solution is not to convert to BW because you will end up with the same problems, except no color.

Either fix the tonal relationships and then convert or shoot another picture.
