I finally got around to processing this one, M63, the Sunflower Galaxy! Imaged from the back yard over two nights in mid April, this spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici resides some 29 million light years from Earth and contains an estimated 400 billion stars!

-Celestrol EdgeHD 8" SCT scope with 0.7x reducer for a focal length of 1422mm at f/7
-ZWO ASI2600MC Pro cooled camera

-171 x 180sec subexposures
-calibrated with 15 each darks, flats, and dark flats
-Total integration time of 8hrs 33min
