At the risk of boring you. While in Hong Kong we took a bus over to Macau using the new bridge/tunnel system. Macau is like the Las Vegas of the orient complete with remnants of it's Portuguese controlled past.
1. The Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridgeis a 55-kilometre (34 mi) bridge–tunnel system consisting of a series of three cable-stayed bridges, an undersea tunnel, and four artificial islands.
2. Part of the ceiling inside the Venetian Hotel/casino
3.Fortaleza do Monte was built between 1617 and 1626 on the 52 metres tall Mount Hill, located directly east of the Ruins of St. Paul's. It was constructed to protect the properties of the Jesuits (mainly Portuguese Jesuits) in Macau, especially from pirates.
4.Inside the entrance to the Fortaleza do Monte
5. Looking over Macau from Fortaleza do Monte
