HEY! shouldn't this have a NSFW header? My long lens is the only way I can catch insects most of the time, as you said they are too skittish when you get right on them.

The shame, a macro with a big zoom telephoto lens, lol! I do it myself and like you said, when it calls for it and it looks like you got some pretty nice pics that way, too! #1 for me. Good job.

Nice shots! I used to use the old Nikon 80 to 400 VR lens with a 12 or 20 millimeter tube for close-ups. I really like your butterfly shot, and the damselfly shot is pretty good too
