This photo was taken on my Trip up to Mt. lemon at Rose Canyon. This was the path to the lake. I had an idea when I took this shot of something I could do to it.

The first photo is with a lot of filters and processing, while the other is the OG photo.

I would like you feedback on likes and dislikes and what you prefer.

Thanks

NIce man! Really great, the warm colours really appeal to me and i love how u used that motion blur, it helps cover that empty space on the left and it leads my eye to the trail and tops it all off with that sense of movement. The sun is great to :D

#1...nifty! I likey!

I have no idea what you did but I like it, How did you get the orange leaves in it? Looks great !

Both are nice but #1 makes me think of riding a bike along the path very cool shot

I like them both- #1 because it seems to have such a cool Fall theme and so much action. #2 because I am a fan of your HDR style.

Thanks again!

I added the leaves in photoshop using the leaves brush. I selected red and yellow. I had a few leave layers. Added different blur effects to each of them to help give the effect of them falling in the distance and in front of you. Lots of processing in photoshop 8)

I guess I'll be the lone dissenter. I don't care for the type of processing in the first shot, and I don't like the added leaves. The ones which are out of focus in the "motion" area look passable, but the ones in the center look absolutely fake.

I would much prefer to see a representation of what was actually there, which is what's shown (and it's shown very well) in shot #2...

No problem Steve, I like to full around with photoshop. Since I am a graphic designer, it plays a big role in my processing. The original photo I was not happy with so in my opinion took it a whole other level, which not would be more of a graphics enhance image.

Thanks for being honest, those center leaves where not as easy to make look real, so I have to work on some stuff.

The first shot looks, well, frantic, and I think that's completely out of touch with the actual scene, which is what appears in the second image.

If I could pick one of those two to insert myself into, it would be the second...

Not sure if this is going to come out right... If I sound snarky, I apologize, having an off day and not really fit for human consumption.

I like what you were trying to do, but I don't think you quite hit the mark. I agree with Steve about the center leafs, but no need to beat a dead horse. Also I think the area around the edges containing the blur could have been a little smaller. As it stands the motion blur takes up quite a bit of space in the shot and leaves it feeling claustrophobic. I LOVE the warmer tone of the first image.

The second photo is really good work, and I think its a great base for what you are trying to accomplish.

I too, like the second one. It's an inviting place; I wanted to go there and walk down the trail to see what was beyond the next bend.

Very nicely processed and well composed.
