Thoughts - I have no context for this image, except that it is somewhere in Australia, so the image does nothing for me. There is no detail in the land area and nothing to tell me that it is an island. My 0.02¢ FWIW.

respectfully disagree. the turbulent waves are very out of the ordinary. colors seem a bit desaturated though - normally i'd say throw on a CPL but in a dark environment that wouldn't work well. but I like it a lot. there's something ethereal about it. i'm guessing a slow---ish shutter speed right? like 1/30?

No problem. Everyone has different tastes and we all look for different things in an image. Maybe I look for too much meaning - don't know, but obviously I look for different things than others.

Yea shutter was 0.5sec. cpl was on as I wanted to get some movement. I see what WesternGuy is saying. It does need substance. Foreground and background elements. I was so focused on getting a foreground to use that I completely lost sight of the big picture, so to speak.
