Male American Kestrel

At the campus where I work there are a pair of American Kestrels. For the last couple weeks I have been trying to get a good capture. Its consumed most of my lunch and breaks. Its a very large campus with about 40 uildings spread across it and I still have not found where they nest. They are small, fast and are always flying high and roosting high. This is the best I got so far. Very heavy crop. I need to try and get higher myself to get a little closer. I often see the male and female fly together and it will be great to capture them in the same frame.

Nice shot they are a pain to get close to the only time i have ever gotten a Really nice shot of an american kestrel was when it flew and landed on the telephone pole in front of me then three seconds later it flew away i scared the heck out of it

They are a quick little bird that doesn't seem to want to smile for the birdy.
