To a certain extent I'll blame females for continuing this charade though. My wife will quite happily lounge about in this kind of thing, and much more bizarre, risque, and illogical at times. So would several other females I knew in the past. Don't get me wrong, I'm not so naive that I don't realise it's probably largely, if not entirely, for my benefit, but it dosen't exactly help the old stereotype.

I will admit though that these same women refuse to even go to the corner shop without a 15min makeup preparation, and going out somewhere requires an hour or so of pure dressing table. (Wife excepted on that bit, she's a 2minute and good to go, why I married her).

I am ready to go out the door in 30 minutes! That is out, out. (like I will actually try) For work...20 minutes max.

Quick true story:

I met my wife in Poland (she's a yank), we were both there teaching and worked in the same high school. We lived in seperate towns, but our road to work became the same about 40 miles away from the school, and most mornings I would overtake her at a 4 mile completley straight stretch of woodland road. She would putter along that road every morning at a steady 80mph, and every morning I would roar up behind her in my mostest prizest possesion in the whole world, my AMG, and leave her in the dust. It became tradition. Anyway, over time I began to notice how much she would wander gently from side to side going up that straight, and when I asked her about it, she would just say 'thats how I drive.'

On the day I decided to be flirtacious for the first time, I drove up behind her as usual and pulled onto the other side of the road to pass, but instead of passing I slowed down and matched her speed so we were side by side. Completely oblivious to me, there she sat, doing her makeup. At 78mph to be exact. And she didnt even have a vanity flip down, she had her little circle mirror in her hand. I wanted to take a picture with my cell phone but I didnt trust my own 'coordination' skills to get the phone out my pocket at that speed while also watching for oncoming traffic. (I was in their lane). I sat there for a good 20 seconds or so before she noticed me, and then jumped so much I thought she was going to go off the road. (moral=dont do that).

Turned out she did her makeup on that stretch every single morning, even in the snow. While I had seen numerous women do their makeup at traffic lights and the rest of it, she was the only one I saw do it at 80mph, and I was impressed very much. On some mornings she would even eat a bagel at the same time. Some woman. (And boy do I miss Polish roads now I live in the US).

Anyway, sorry for the jackanory deviation to the thread, but I think it all ties in with the downright silliness of the wumans at times. (So yeah, the pics are definitly belivable to me lol).

This was her home and she was unprepared and definitely nervous in front of the camera not to mention we had never met before

All in all it was a good learning experience for me, dealing with tight situations, small rooms, traveling light (1 hour drive, backpack and small box), getting client at ease enough to do job, shooting less than 8' from subject, lousy backgrounds etc.
