ok, first, since i dont know the story, it really makes me come up with one...the rocks are huge..and makes the man seem small in comparison..there for , your could determine it shows our fragility against nature...how small we really are in the world...

or he could be mourning a lost love...and life is huge, and makes him feel lost and alone...

or he is checking to see if the body he buried under those rocks is still there, or is it showing..??

ok,i will stop... sorry...too much imagination..not enough counceling...

i really like this one. Maybe a tad to much contrast for me, but still it tells a great story
