Fred, I have one question; is this a scan from film or from ready print ? As the subject is interesting I think from TMY you can get better tonal range. Looks like over exposed or over developed (more likely). Unless off course it is the scan. Look at the range of pictures by big paul

All problems with scanning. (But that forum accepts scans only from finished, paper photographs.) To the point of frustration.
