Managing Attachments

According to the FAQ site: below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.

Problem is...I don't have the manage attachments button. is this because I am still considered a noob or am I just missing it?

I am trying to test uploading images.

Using attachments is only for subscribed members.

You can still display your images in the forum, you just need an outside host for them.

Ahh, ok that makes sense. I have posted a couple of pic's using my webshots account, I just wont be able to do anything Hi Rez unless/until I subscribe.

You don't need high resolution for web images. 800 pixels wide at 72 PPI is plenty big enough for viewing on a monitor. You can even use a decent amount of JPEG compression before it's noticeable.

I always get confused... why is the 72PPI included?

I've seen it done a number of times and it doesn't make sense to me.

That being said, yeah, hi-res will just be downsized here and will take forever to load.
