I find no. 5 most compelling ... All those round beads wrapping around the drum of the sweeper ... And their colorful contrast to the cement. Leaving the tree trunk/roots in the background ia another strong contrast ... Nature next to manufactured. Good catch.

Yeah, the streets are nothing to write home about after a parade ends, but they are all turned back to their normal look and cleanliness within a few hours of a parade ending. In the past few years there have been major advances in mardi gras bead recycling b/c of this reason. It's not perfect, but it's a start at least.
