Marsh Bluet

[TheNevadanStig]

Still trying to work on my insects. This I believe is a marsh bluet. Very small, maybe an inch to an inch an a quarter overall length. Dragonflies nearly never land for me either, so I always give them a go when they do.

Dragonflies nearly never land for me either, so I always give them a go when they do.

I've noticed that if I constantly follow one around with my camera without touching it, they usually give up running around. I've chased them around enough to know that they will keep a sharp eye on you, and occasionally hover around but usually get right back to their initial position if you don't move too much.

I've never seen a blue one though, beautiful colours.
