What's the answer?

(325 x 2) + (757 + 316) ÷ by 4

I am NOT MATHMATICALLY INCLINED!

I get 430.75...but some others are saying 918.25....I'm guessing I'm probably wrong...am I?

I got 918.25. You have to remember your order of operations:)

I also get that!

Heres a neat little hint

Parenthesis
Exponents
Multiplication
Division
Addition
Subtraction

Addition/Subtraction and Multiplication/Division are which ever of the two come first.

Please excuse my dear aunt sally!

(325 x 2) + (757 + 316) ÷ by 4

That would be 650.

(325 x 2) + (757 + 316) ÷ by 4

That would be 1073 which you need to divide by 4, hence the result is 268.25

Add the blue numbers and you get 918.25

This is why I was never good with math.

give me some wood and I'll build you a guitar... give me a math problem... and I'll give you some problems of your own.

ok...so who's going to explain we the convolution of two signals?
heres the equation:

the equation is easy...and so is the explanation of two dimensional convolution (for example in photoshop)... but what for is it in maths? :D

I hate HATE convolution...

It's hard :S

Though whay I'm doing now isn't much better...

"convolution"...do you mean "integration"?

...proof that math is the universal language. You say "convolution", I say "integration", but we understand each other when we write it.

I say, I have an arts degree, I don't know what they heck you're talking about. But I can tell you how many HPL lamps you can have on a 20A circuit and the difference betwenn Hamburg Frost and Light Hamburg Frost.
