Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Spent a few days at Scout camp with my son. Not a lot of free time but I did find this guy on our front door. It was a tricky shot with the angle, quickly moving dappled light, and a light breeze blowing his tails around.

As always, comments welcome.

I think you might of been better with a faster shutter speed using the 70D and that great Canon lens, loved mine.

I do love the lens. I didn't want to open the aperture up any more and lose dof, and already had the ISO up to 1600. In my head I know the 70D can go faster without much impact, but in the moment I just get stuck in the habit developed when I was using the 20D and 1600 was pushing the noise limits for anything other than snapshots. Gotta get over that.

Take a look at Dx0’s photo lab app. It does a great job on removing noise

Randy - I'm using Lightroom. How does DXO compare in functionality and performance?

I only use Dx0 for it’s noise reduction but it’s other tools look very similar to LR, minus the catalog.
The ‘prime’ noise reduction is slow. You can’t preview it. It runs when you create and pass a .tiff file back to LR. It’s integrated fairly well with LR. LR has a pgm for passing the NEF to Dx0 so Dx0 is working with a raw file when it removes noise. You don’t select anything or adjust any settings when removing noise, you just run it. The results are very impressive.
