May Flowers (C&C)

I'm still very new to the Macro field, and I took these only using my Macro setting on my Nikon d5100. Comment and opinions are loved and well taken in.

Tried my best to do editing that brought out the dramatic colors and make it look a little romantic.

I think that they are beautiful images. What lens did you use?
On the fourth and fifth I would enhance the levels make it brighter

I like 1, 2 and 5
the colors are indeed beautiful, the light is great! you could have a shallower depth of field, this would give more impact on the flowers. The leaves being as sharp as the flower attract the eyes.

on #2 the leaf on the left side is cut off, It is bothering me. and the composition is odd, but the flowers are beautiful
#4 I don't like the hand.

I don't really like the hand either but the image is very strong because of the contrast with the background so I think it's the best in the group.

These are not macro photos, these are close-ups.
They are nice, but a bit boring. Everyone shoots flowers. If you do photograph them, try a different angle, a different approach. At least try to wait when some bug lands on a flower, it will make a photo more interesting.
