This photo is dedicated to Maya Plisetskaya, ballet dancer. I used long exposure to get this kind of effect.

I like the blurring the long exposure achieved, but I do not like the left of center placement of the figure within the compositional space. I think if the dancer had more room to "move into", that this would be a much stronger image. The basis for the image is pretty simple, and there are not many elements in total, so the visual tension the left-of-center placement creates really is a big problem for me. I really love the delicate, wing-like arc that the hands and arm created on the right hand side of her body, but am desiring to see the same thing on the left hand side of the frame, but I think that probably the visual effect just did not translate due to the actual, real-world movement of that arm compared to the way the other arm was moved. Speaking of not many elements in total: the strong, wide, black frame effect on this shot...feels too strong,too wide, too dominating. Of course, YMMV. I just wanted to give you my thoughts, which of course, have no bearing on your artistic decisions.
