OP, the photos seem nice as far as I can tell (only viewing thumbnails). But bird pictures rarely interest me, so that is why I refrained from commenting. Nothing personal, but there are much more informed people when it comes to birds other than I on the forum.
I especially like the 2nd one, the profile - you caught that intent focus in the eyes on whatever he's stalking. The 1st isn't bad, but with him just standing there, isn't doing much.
Having to wait just over a day for a reply is nothing. You joined in 2008, so you know full well how it can be around here. I know it can be frustrating, I often find that even something as simple as whether or not I watermark a photo with "Austin Greene Photography" makes a huge difference in the amount of feedback I get. It seems that the better a photo, the less replies it gets, unless it truly has some "wow" factor to it. For that reason, I've largely grown tired of TPF.
Is it good for the occasional post on a whim? Sure. Has TPF become a place filled people who lack the gonads (or know how, which is totally acceptable) to comment on more technical photos? Absolutely. I miss the days when even the best of shots would get flamed to hell, at least then you had something to go off of. For that reason you'll notice many of the better shooters, and what used to be more frequent posters, have moved on.
Sorry , the comment was meant to be kinda humorous, but it doesn't come across in print. Thanks to all who commented even when they thought I was being rude.
