A couple of weeks ago, in a boring evening, I too spent some time in front of a water basin. I did not post at that time because I saw here on TPF some very nice examples, and I considered that mine did not add anything. Anyway, in this boring morning I'm even too lazy to take pictures, so I spend time in uploading pictures.
I followed some advice found in this thread, including the video. Tripod, off camera flash with cheap trigger, blue basin, using the white wall as a reflector. Shutter speed limited by flash and trigger.

I've not been able to take a picture of a nice crown.

The crown is just timing. all in the timing.

Good work on the photos! The water droplets are theraputic, arent they? Whenever I find myself getting bored, I will set that up, and try to take a new approach to the water droplets.

I still learn something new every time.

Nice shots!

Not bad, try and get lower next time and use some different colored backgrounds.

Thank you all.
Yes, drops are therapeutic. Years ago I was doing origami with the same feeling (and then also aeromodeling...).
Next time in fact I'll try to lower point of view more - this time I had the basin border in the middle, or, I had too few water inside. And colored background, yes: I saw beautiful samples.
My camera syncs at 1/200, but trigger goes up to 1/160. It is what I used.
