Another Colorado mountain shot... I purposely left this one lighter than I normally would, since they seem to show darker on here. Single Exposure (No HDR) 70mm F9 1/200 ISO400 Comments welcome!

hahaha.. can't win.. always either too dark or too light! I used to live at 10,000 feet in a meadow like this (when I was self-employed and married)... now I am in the Denver area (ugh! Although still nicer than many other areas.) But scenes like this are only a hour away, so I am lucky there! Thanks...

Another outstanding Colorado mountain scenic. And those clouds ! Just makes Long Island's flatness standout even more. Half our clouds are NYC smog.

We are surrounded by forest fires right now... So we have a lot of smoke in the area. You can see that in the iPhone pic I took out of my office window! Thanks for the kind words!

Charlie, I can sense your concern about forest fires. Out in Suffolk county where I live, work, and take pictures, we have many large expanses of Pine trees and scrub growth. The largest is known as the Pine Barrens, and every year we do have forest fires that spread like crazy with the contant winds off the ocean. Some fires are much worse then others. I do remember years ago when I was managing the CVS drug store in Rocky Point, the fires got as close we could see them from the store less then a 1/2 mile away.

It IS a little tiny bit on the light side, but not by much.
I'm impressed that you got that kind of detail in the trees at the bottom with a single exposure. I'd guess the cloudy day helped you out with that!

CSU has some offices in this building... as matter of fact! We just took over the 14th floor... use to be a CSU Arts dept if I remember correctly. I am up on 16.
