Meadow Pipit 1 (with food)

[Space Face]

I just love these wee brown jobbies. They really are the lowest on the food chain of little birds. Being ground nesters absolutely everything that can, will and does prey on them. Yet, they hold fast and seem to flourish, certainly in my area. I'm always delighted to see them.

This was obliging and allowed me a few shots.

Very good set......

Very nice, 1 for the win because of the excellent smooth background transitions.

Your post gave me a chuckle as a "jobbie" is a slang term in Scotland.....preseding it with "wee brown" just made the phrase hillarious!

I knew few outside our lovely land would get that connection.

Nice set. After hearing the slang from what some people in and around the UK refer to as "pikey's" (no disrespect intended) nothing surprises me much. I actually like the slang, it's very colorful and interesting.
