A good shot, but I'm not keen on the square crop. I'd have preferred a portrait orientation and more of the meerkat included. Like in this thread.
It's a lovely image for sure. The limited dof really helps to make the meerkat stand out.
neogfx, if the merrkat was facing the camera, like in your shot, I would see the advantage of a portrait crop. Here I like the empty space as it clearly shows that the meerkat is looking into the distance.
I like it a lot. Landscape with lots of orange would be cool, but possibly not possible? :mregreen:
