This is my friend, named Jim. Shot with a 50mm reversed prime lens.

Jim's a little stiff.

Joking aside, you need to put a diffuser on your flash. It looks rather harsh, and there's too much difference between the highlights and the shadows. But that's only my opinion.

Haha, yeah. He's been dead for at least several months.

I had the little mini diffuser that extends from my flash out, and pointed at the ground to bounce back at him. I figured that would be good enough, but perhaps not. But you're right about the shadows part. Thanks for the comment.
