Meetup with other local photogs?

Are you interested in meeting local photogs in your area? http://www.meetup.com has a photography meet up http://photo.meetup.com along with tons of other subjects. I can't say that I have gone and met anyone yet, but I am a member of vegetarian meetup and just joined photo meetup today and one day soon I will actually go, I think....
