Meike or Pixel grip for D800?

Has anyone actually held both? I can't see spending the price for the Nikon, and want to try out a knock-off, but its difficult to choose between Chinese knock-offs, ya know? Opinions?

I use a Pixel. Great results, even with a boat anchor Nikon 70-200mm on the front and a POCKETWIZARD on the top

Common complaint is that it stops working after a while or has some connectivity issues. Ever seen that?

Maybe he wants to keep the shutter count low for easier resale when the D900SXDAF#2 is available at dealers near him.

The Meike grips have good reviews for lower end cameras both for Nikon and Canon. It's quite different for the more expensive models.

I had the Meike on my D7000........it worked for about an hour. I sent it back. I'm gonna bite the bullet and get the Nikon grip. I know, I know it is over priced but, I feel confident that it will work with issues. I HATE stuff that doesn't work and has to be returned.
