merging question

Recently i discovered some nice looking borders that i would like to use with a few images.

The files are in PDF form.

Opening PS makes my eyes glaze over so i am lost as to how to use with a photo.

I opened the PDF file and opened a photo and played around a bit with layers, thinking i could mege them together , but alas and alack it just isn't happening.

Can someone send me to some help or provide a simple step by step method?

I have spent a lot of time on google but haven't found anything along these lines.

silly me, i forgot something i always tell my students "go directly to the horse's mouth"; when i did, i got the answer.

Use layers, have your picture as the background, open the border, select all, use the move tool click n drag the border onto your picture, if its too small, go edit, free transform, click n drag to resize, click on another tool, this opens the transform dialogue box, click apply, if you now have a border your happy with, go layers, flatten image, sharpen n you're done. H
