Mikki- Model Test

DanOstergren · Mar 12, 2018

Took these yesterday. It was the first warm day in a while, so I'm glad I was able to get outside and do a shoot. Shot in direct sunlight with a white reflector for fill in some shots. Shot on a Canon 5D MKI with an EF 85mm f/1.8 lens attached.

She is a worthy subject, no doubt. Those freckles are glorious. Well done as usual. Very interesting and creative framing.

Love the color shots of her the best! That last color one is my favorite of these. I love it as is but am also wondering what it would look like if we could see her other eye just a bit better.

She looks familiar. Have you posted photos of her before?

#1 and 2 are stunning, looking on my PC rather than the phone. Amazing visual upgrade. You are such an amazing visual artist. 2nd one nominated for March POTM.

I would burn the nose bling in the first one but what the heck do I know, I'm a noob.

Thank you! Those two are my favorites as well, and to be honest I was hesitant about them for a split second. Glad I went with my gut and finished them.

I think it would look good either way, but I like how the nose ring creates another feature to keep the eyes focused on the face, like a beauty mark, and I love how it has so much focus in that shot. To me it adds to her character.

I haven’t photographed her before. She was just picked up by an agency and only started modeling a couple months ago.

I agree with JC - the second one outstanding! I second the nomination.

Those close one are awesome. I like the play with the lights.
