Minimal Landscape

Trying something new for my landscapes. Going for a minimal feel. I did blur the foreground cause it wasn't what I was looking for.

Looking for something new is crucial for maintaining progress. However... in this particular example I'd call it a successful try.

What is a topic of this picture? Was it just a minimal landscape? If so - try to ask another question: is it really minimalistic?
I don't think so. There is definitely something missing out there. Composition doesn't work for me either. Colors are great but is it enough to call it a successful try? Maybe if You manage to avoid introducing a yellow/orange tint at the horizon line - maybe it would be better and considerable as an example of finding color gradients in real world. But the horizon line has too many details (It would be much better if it was simple and linear, rather than full of tries and sources of lights).

Overall I think that the direction (finding color gradients with lack of disrupting details showing us how ordinary landscapes can be interpreted) is good and I'd encourage You to push harder effort in seeking for a perfect one!

I liked it.
I think the dead space worked really well. The only think i dind't like is that the buildings are too dark, its hard to see what is in that area. Don't know how to solve it without using HDR, though.

I like where you're going with it (I personally love landscapes with no notable subject and a rather empty look), but I think the very busy horizon (buildings, trees, etc.) and the yellow colors on the horizon actually add too much for a good minimalist landscape. But then again, that might just be me.

Here's what I think of for a minimalist landscape. I shot these the other day, when I had a new camera to test and didn't feel like waiting for sunshine:

Totally understand, I've been thinking about a project shooting voids of space as subjects. I don't think they would go over very well on this forum.
