this was taken at a burned out house (of a friend of ours actually - i'll post the story in the photojournalism section when i get a chance) recently.

nice work man. i'm digging the second and third.

very minor white-ish.

equivilants i think they call it. . . shooting somthing that is seen often in a different manner. (specifically num. 3)

And this is where your "Texture of burnt wood" photo also is from?

I really like the "Aftermath" ... as the photo it has become.
I still pity your friends!
They lost almost everything, I gather?

To make Photo 1 look like it does ... did you have to do much more afterwards, or has all the "burning" (ok, very bad pun) been done beforehand and is this as "out of the camera" as can be?

yes Lafoto, the 'texture of burnt wood' is from the same location.

our friends are doing surprisingly well, they shock me with how joyful and content they have remained through all this. they didn't lose everything, but they've lost quite a bit, and their house of several years.


i only did minimal processing on one...the biggest change was that I desaturated the area around the mirror a little bit.
