1. Get the friggin photo competition back on track. There are some fine photographers on this forum, contributing some of their best work. Treat them with respect and follow through with your promises. Or end it altogether.

2. Please delete my "canoe" photo, the winner of the August competition, from the site. On the off chance you decide to finish that one out, give it to the runner up.

The question is, will the MODS have the balls to be pro-forum member and make this right. Its not about me, I will probably get booted. :lmao:

Mishele probably has the biggest balls of all the MODS and as you can see, even she isn't willing to do what is right.

I had not checked into this thread for a few days. When I saw what the mods had posted in this thread, these insulting and provocative videos, I reported each inappropriate abuse of power.

There is a time for humor, but these repeated, willful, deliberate, passive-aggressive jabs from the moderators simply could not go unreported. I seldom report a post unless it's from a TV spammer. This behavior just simply takes the cake. It started off poorly with overread's overreaction and excuse-making, and I did not report that.

I cannot BELIEVE how the mods have banded together and ganged up on the people who actually create the content for this site. Very,very poor behavior.

I totally agree Derrel, thanks for the post. It is really the only reason I am keeping this going. I have probably pushed this issue too far, but the MODs, at this point, seem to be getting a kick out of NOT making this right, when they know it is the RIGHT thing to do. Simply apologize, each and every one of them, and get the Photo Comp back on track or end it altogether, for the forum members, period. It is not about me getting my win. The fact that other members are joining in with them really makes no sense. Just plain stupid when you think about it.

The issue addressed here is being discussed and we are looking for a solution. "calling out mods" is against tpf rules per the faq. you want us to be more professional about this, and i agree. So, the issue has been heard, and we are seeing what can be done about it. Any further pressing of this matter will result in a temporary ban. Thank you for your cooperation.

Just as an update:

1) Recent policy changes resulted in more background issues than we anticipated which has resulted in the last few days being eaten up dealing with other issues by the mod team.

2) The prize was not under our control, this is a sponsor issue and it is being looked into. This is admin level and furthermore sadly a case where its proving difficult to get a reply or response from the sponsor. We are trying new angles and failing that we are coming up with a backup plan.


Like many things just because you can't see something happening doesn't mean nothings happening.

Everyone keep calm and carry on (although I'd take it as a kindness if the pink unicorn videos would not reappear )

For what it's worth, I agree with your frustration over the POTM. I think we all do. When we saw this thread we were all pretty much like "Oh crap."

I have also, however, had enough of these "let's call out the bad guys" threads pointed at the mods. If you have a problem with the moderators on this forum the APPROPRIATE method to handle these things is to either PM them directly, or escalate to the ownership of this forum. Feel free to PM ffarl directly as he works for the company and can be your advocate if appropriate.

Any more threads I see like this will be locked and I will suggest you escalate.
