Misty Morning on Castle Loch Lochmaben

Not really done much with landscapes but pass this loch in south west Scotland on way to work each day and it's looked lovely with the mist as it's gotten colder recently. Decided to try and get a shot of the sunrise this weekend but of course karma playing it's part it was the cloudiest day ever and basically no light and certainly no colour in sky. Managed to get this with a slightly longer exposure and thought it was quite nice, not sure if others would agree.

Well the intention was to show a view of a Scottish loch with a haunting feeling where a lone bird sits in the mist overseeing the loch and the landscape that fades away behind it.

I started off shooting some boats on the other side by the boathouse but the light was really flat and sky was was just one massive solid white cloud with no sun getting through so saw this bird that had sat still the whole time and wanted to try something a bit different and go for an eerie silhouetted look.
