Well another holiday thread from me - I just noticed that I spent most of the time shooting in the dark (and I have not even got to the cave shots)
Anyway here are my attempts at very late night river photos - definatly no problems with too much light!
All shots taken with:
Cannon ESO 400D
Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS
Tripod 055XPROB + 322RC2
f2.6, ISO 100, 1.6sec, flash fired, manual mode.

I think this is my favourite shot from the day.
I stuck at f2.8 at the time as it was very dark and I wanted light into the lens (that and I had an addiction to f2.8 that week!). In retrospect I would have prefered a smaller aperture, longer shutter speeds and a larger ISO -- note that the blur in the shots is also due to the fact I was manually focusing and it was rather tricky to get it right in the dark!
Comments, advice and crits welcome - thanks
