going black and white to try to SAVE a picture seldom works. It is a medium all by itself not a last resort.

I have to say the color shot is my favorite. The B&W is not bad but I really liked the colors and depth in the original image better.

Superb angle, I think personally the color version is much more captivating.

Perhaps if it were a little less detailed and full I'd go for the B&W.
