Nice, but too much snow IMHO. Have you tried a vertical? Less snow an more black space could give a better contrast to the cabin.

Nice shot. Looks fine horizontal - goes with the orientation of the train car. At least I'm not certain vertical would be better, just different.
If anything, it might be a touch over sharpened, but I know flickr resizing tends to crunch thing up some as well so perhaps not.

I agree. I feel as though the tracks in the snow and the shadowed slope on the left are natural guides to cropping/composition.
The original image feels balanced to me. The vertical edit feels cramped and removes context.
